Maltizzi terms, privacy and cookies

Who runs Maltizzi, how the free portal works, your responsibilities and rights, privacy, cookies and advertising. Version 2026-10-18.

Operator and scope

Maltizzi is operated by Mateusz Świderski, Triq Il-Karmnu 20, The Minnows (apartment 2A), San Pawl Il-Bahar, SPB3570, Malta. Contact for the website, privacy, complaints, authorities and content reports: support@maltizzi.com. The operator currently acts as an individual. Maltizzi is a listings, search, messaging and organisational website aimed at Malta and Gozo. These terms govern the website and its applications, not the separate contracts made between users. Version 2026-10-18 takes effect when published and made available for acceptance. You may read and save these terms without opening an account.

What Maltizzi does and does not do

Maltizzi hosts user advertisements and enables discovery, contact, conversations, applications and the recording of service progress. It is not the seller, buyer, employer, employee, landlord, tenant, contractor or customer in those transactions. It is not authorised to conclude or amend their contracts, set a binding price for them or represent either party. Maltizzi provides a digital intermediary/hosting service; describing it as a noticeboard does not remove legal duties attached to that service. Labels, progress stages, estimates, ratings and application tools do not make the operator a party to the underlying transaction. Users choose whether to contract and remain responsible for their own performance.

Free access and payments outside the portal

The current service does not charge users for accounts, publication or use of the available communication tools, and does not take transaction commissions or a share of payments between users. Licence limits can restrict quantities without creating a payment obligation. Premium purchase is not currently offered as a paid service. Maltizzi does not receive, hold, route or settle transaction funds, operate escrow, issue invoices for users or guarantee a refund. The parties agree payment, deposits, invoices, taxes and refunds directly, outside the portal. A message, recorded agreement or acceptance can nevertheless have legal consequences between them. Never send money to a person claiming Maltizzi requires a protected deposit.

Accounts, young users and guardians

Public listings can be browsed without an account. An account holder must be at least 13. A person aged 13 to 17 must have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian for use of the account, and the guardian must authorise or carry out any act for which the young person lacks legal capacity. The age for data-protection consent is not a general permission to enter employment, rental or other contracts. Do not use the portal for transactions prohibited for your age. A guardian declaration is a declaration, not identity verification by Maltizzi. Where there are reasonable concerns about age or authorisation, the operator may limit use while requesting proportionate clarification. Accounts for children under 13 are not offered. Do not upload identity documents publicly or send them unless specifically requested through an appropriate secure process.

Registration, Google and account security

To register, provide accurate contact data, accept this version of the terms and acknowledge the privacy information. Google registration or login also requires acceptance of the portal terms; Google authentication is not acceptance by itself. The portal may verify an email address and device. An existing password account is connected to Google only through the account-linking procedure requiring the appropriate authentication and matching verified email. Keep access credentials and devices secure. Do not impersonate anyone, lend accounts to strangers or bypass restrictions. Notify the operator promptly of suspected unauthorised access. You can stop using the service and request account closure at the contact email; closure and erasure requests are assessed subject to applicable retention and third-party rights.

Rules for advertisements and business users

Publish truthful, current and sufficiently clear information. You must have the right to advertise the goods, property, vacancy or service and to use its photos, text and trademarks. Choose the correct section and category. State prices, currency, essential conditions and restrictions accurately; do not disguise compulsory charges. Provide a reachable Maltese contact number when required. Do not present yourself as a private person if you are acting commercially. Business users remain responsible for legally required trader identity, address, contact, pre-contract information, consumer rights, licences, insurance, safety, tax and employment duties. The platform does not check every claim or certify professional qualifications. Correct or close an ad when it is no longer available. Posting does not guarantee visibility, enquiries, an application or a contract.

Prohibited content and conduct

Do not post illegal goods or services, stolen or counterfeit goods, sexual exploitation, child-abuse material, threats, hate content, fraud, malware, misleading recruitment, unlawfully discriminatory conditions, infringement of intellectual property, unlawful disclosures of personal data or content you have no right to share. Do not facilitate unlicensed regulated activity or evade applicable product, property, employment or consumer law. Do not spam, scrape contact details, harvest CVs, create fake reviews, manipulate rankings or misuse location sharing. Do not publish another person’s precise home location, documents or private correspondence without a lawful basis. Do not use the portal for emergencies. For immediate danger in Malta contact 112.

Cases, live progress, negotiations and applications

A case is a communication and organisation space for its participants. For a service with on-site progress tools, the provider supplies preparation/travel estimates and updates the stage; these are not guaranteed arrival times or dispatch by Maltizzi. A location shared manually reflects the displayed timestamp. Live tracking depends on permissions, connectivity and the sharing device and may be delayed or inaccurate. Share a location only with the intended participant and stop sharing when no longer needed. Negotiation controls represent proposals within the author’s configured range; the parties must confirm their own final terms. Job applicants decide what CV and attachments to disclose. Employers receive those materials for recruitment and are independently responsible for lawful subsequent use. External application links lead to other services with their own terms.

Statuses, service history and reviews

A completed, cancelled or other recorded status reflects the case information supplied through the service, not a legal ruling about performance or debt. Eligible participants may give an opinion after the case ends, within three months, through the controls available to their role. The service permits one opinion and one response under the applicable workflow. The customer satisfaction score ranges from 1 to 5 where offered. Reviews and responses can be public; exclude private contact data, unnecessary sensitive information, insults and unsupported accusations. A logged interaction does not prove an independently verified purchase or that every statement is correct. The operator may moderate unlawful or abusive reviews and explain the decision where required. Neither a high rating nor a completed count guarantees quality.

Reporting illegal content and contacting the operator

Send reports to support@maltizzi.com. Identify the exact URL or location of each item, explain why you believe it is illegal, include relevant evidence and a contact email, and state that the information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. Certain reports, including those involving child sexual abuse material, may have legal exceptions to identifying the reporter. Do not send unnecessary sensitive data. Reports are assessed diligently, objectively and without arbitrary discrimination. Where contact details are available, the operator will acknowledge receipt and communicate the decision and available redress as required by law. A report does not automatically establish illegality. The operator may request information needed to locate or assess the content. Authorities may contact the same email. This is not an emergency or payment-recovery service.

Moderation, restrictions and complaints

The operator may remove or restrict content or accounts for legal requirements, credible safety concerns, fraud, security incidents, infringements of these terms or misuse of service limits. Measures should be proportionate to seriousness, recurrence and risk; urgent harm may require action before notice. Assessment is ordinarily by the operator, using reports and available records; technical security/rate-limit controls can operate automatically. Where required and legally permitted, the affected person receives reasons, the scope of restriction and information on how to challenge it. Contact support@maltizzi.com with the decision and grounds for reconsideration; this review is free and does not remove rights before competent bodies or courts. Maltizzi does not claim exemptions it has not assessed. DSA complaints may be directed to Malta’s Digital Services Coordinator, the MCA, where applicable.

Responsibilities and lawful limits of liability

Each user is responsible for the legality and accuracy of their content and for their own negotiations, contractual obligations, performance, payments and taxes. Maltizzi does not guarantee counterparty identity, solvency, ownership, quality, qualifications or compliance. To the extent law permits, the operator is not responsible for a user’s non-performance or payment dispute merely because contact occurred on the portal, nor for independent third-party sites. The portal may suffer outages, interrupted notifications or inaccurate third-party maps; verify critical arrangements directly. There is no blanket waiver of operator liability. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, mandatory consumer rights, data-protection duties, deliberate wrongdoing or rights under applicable intermediary-service law. Hosting liability limitations depend on their statutory conditions, including appropriate action on knowledge of illegal content. No term authorises ignoring reports or unlawful content.

Privacy: controller, purposes and legal bases

The data controller for operating Maltizzi is Mateusz Świderski at the operator address and email above. Data include account/contact information, authentication and security/device identifiers, published ads and photos, trait selections, messages and attachments, case events, saved searches, favourites, reviews, notification preferences and technical logs. The service processes data as needed to provide the requested account and tools under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, for proportionate security, abuse prevention, service reliability and handling claims under Article 6(1)(f), and for legal duties under Article 6(1)(c). Where an optional processing activity requires consent, Article 6(1)(a) is used and consent can be withdrawn without affecting its earlier lawfulness. We do not describe all processing as consent or require marketing consent to obtain an account. Supplying data needed for an account or requested function is necessary to provide that function; optional data can be omitted.

Privacy: visibility, recipients and international transfers

Listing text, images and published reviews are public and may be indexed by external search engines; do not put private documents in them. Case messages, CVs, attachments and shared locations are made available to the intended participants and to authorised service administration where necessary, not treated as public ads. Revealed telephone numbers can be copied by recipients; masking is not anonymity. Infrastructure uses OVHcloud with the application server in France; the domain service is based in Poland as configured by the operator. Production mail is sent through the application’s Postfix relay and recipient mail systems, rather than a promise that mail never leaves the EEA. Optional Google login exchanges authentication information with Google. Maps/location search and push delivery can involve their configured providers, including platform services for Android/iOS. Only necessary data should be disclosed. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses must be established before that transfer; information and copies of relevant safeguards can be requested from the controller. A new advertising provider will not be silently added as an already-authorised recipient.

Privacy: retention and rights

Account data are retained while needed to operate the account. Listing and case records can remain as history, including relevant reviews, until deleted or no longer needed; removing an active item may move it to a restricted archive rather than immediately erase it. Messages and attachments are retained only while necessary for the conversation, user access, abuse investigations, legal duties or proportionate defence of claims. Security logs are bounded and rotated. Backups and restricted archives are not publicly searchable and must be managed according to the same necessity criteria. Closing an account is not a promise of instant erasure of every backup or another participant’s lawful record. Request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection where applicable at support@maltizzi.com. You may withdraw optional consent and complain to the IDPC in Malta or another competent supervisory authority. Requests are handled within GDPR deadlines, ordinarily one month, with lawful extensions explained. Proportionate identity checks may be needed. We do not use a solely automated decision producing legal or similarly significant effects as part of the described marketplace workflow.

Cookies, local storage and device permissions

Necessary technologies support authentication, session/device security, the language or preferences you request, and remembering your privacy choice. They are not treated as permission for unrelated tracking. Optional analytics and advertising technologies stay off until their category is explicitly enabled. The consent panel offers acceptance, refusal and granular settings; refusing optional technologies does not prevent reading the public site. You can change the choice through Privacy settings at any time. The choice is stored on the device for up to six months, after which optional permissions are requested again. An expired, malformed or missing choice means optional technologies remain off. Google login, geolocation and push permissions are separate choices for the specific function; granting a browser permission is not blanket consent to marketing. Closing the browser or deleting storage may require a new preference. The names and purposes of an optional provider must be disclosed before activation.

Advertising and funding

The operator may fund the portal through clearly labelled advertising that is separate from user transaction payments. Advertising income is not a commission on a user’s deal. A contextual banner or sponsored link must identify its advertising nature and sponsor and must not be represented as an organic recommendation or independent review. The initial advertising implementation does not profile users. Personal data must not be used to target advertising at users known with reasonable certainty to be minors; the portal does not offer such targeting. Third-party tracking scripts are not enabled merely by accepting these terms or opening an account. Where consent is required, they require a separate valid choice and an identified provider. Advertisements do not guarantee the advertiser’s performance. The operator’s business/tax and regulatory obligations are assessed when applicable, not only after a project becomes profitable.

Future commercial changes and change of operator

The project may later introduce paid premium features or a registered business model after the required legal, tax and organisational arrangements are in place. This is a possibility, not a present charge or permission to charge automatically. Material contractual changes will be explained in advance through the service/contact channel, normally at least 30 days before taking effect unless a legal or urgent security reason requires a different period. Users can stop using the service and request closure. Any paid feature will require its price, contract and applicable consumer information before an explicit order; old free use is not a payment mandate. A change of controller or transfer of data requires a lawful basis, transparency and applicable safeguards, and where necessary a separate choice; accepting these terms is not an unrestricted consent to transfer all data to any future company.

Applicable law, rights and ending use

These terms are governed by Maltese law insofar as this does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection available under applicable conflict-of-law rules. They do not impose an exclusive court that removes a consumer’s legally protected jurisdiction or right to complain to a competent authority. The operator does not decide private payment, employment, tenancy or performance disputes. Stop using the portal if you do not accept these terms; account closure and statutory privacy rights remain available through the contact email. Clauses invalid under mandatory law are not enforced to that extent; the remaining lawful provisions continue. A Polish domain registration or a Polish interface language alone does not relocate the operator’s establishment to Poland. Specific applicable cross-border duties must still be assessed. These terms and privacy information can be saved or printed for your records.
