A construction vacancy should explain the trade and worksite responsibilities rather than simply ask for an all-round worker. Someone applying as a plumber needs different information from a site manager or painter. Describe the actual job and distinguish recruitment from an independent contractor advertising services.
1. Choose the job category and relevant traits
Choose Jobs → Skilled work → Construction. Job role includes Electrician, Plumber, Mason, Carpenter, Painter, Tiler, Site manager, Civil engineer and other listed positions. Trade includes Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Painting and Site management. Trade certification includes specific options such as Electrical authorisation, Health and safety training and Working at heights. Site safety training offers Required, Provided and Not required; the selection must accurately describe the offer and must not imply that applicable obligations can be ignored.
2. Describe the actual role and working conditions
A title such as “Employed plumber — residential installation team in Malta” is clearer than “Workers wanted”. Explain installation or maintenance tasks, supervision, tools and expected travel between sites. Describe qualifications or authorisations accurately and distinguish what must be held before starting from training the employer provides. Do not imply that moderation verifies a person’s competence.
3. Make the salary and application route clear
Check the salary period, contract arrangement and hours. State how overtime, travel and tools are handled rather than leaving candidates to infer them from the advertised amount. If hiring independent contractors instead of employees, make the relationship clear and consistent throughout the advert. Maltizzi publication does not establish work authorisation or satisfy another authority’s requirements by itself.
In the job form, enter Salary from and, if useful, the optional maximum amount. Check Salary period: it defaults to Per year, so change it if you mean an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly amount. Choose the salary currency and Gross / net consistently with the offer. Required languages and Contract arrangement describe the vacancy; they do not run an automated candidate-scoring process. Complete required fields and use Detailed information for optional traits.
4. Review and publish the vacancy
Choose one coherent trade and job role.
Describe actual training and authorisation needs.
Explain tools, travel, hours and supervision.
Keep employee and contractor wording consistent.

Can I recruit a plumber in the Plumbing services category?
Use the construction job category for a plumber vacancy. The Plumbing category in Services is for providers offering work to customers. The same profession can exist in both contexts, but an employment vacancy and a service offer should not be mixed.
Read how to publish a listing and how category filters work. Keep the title, salary and traits consistent. Maltizzi is not a substitute for any official recruitment or permit process, and posting here does not guarantee candidates or search-engine visibility.
