How to advertise a DevOps or cloud engineering job in Malta

Describe cloud platforms, infrastructure tools, on-call expectations and pay in a focused DevOps vacancy.

DevOps recruitment can cover very different work: deployment pipelines, cloud infrastructure, observability or operational support. Candidates need to understand which of these they will own. A precise Maltizzi vacancy helps distinguish a platform-building role from a support position with occasional infrastructure tasks.

1. Choose the job category and relevant traits

Choose Jobs → Professional → IT and software → DevOps. Cloud platforms lets you identify AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud where relevant. Infrastructure and DevOps includes tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI, Prometheus and Grafana. Programming languages can identify actual scripting or development work. Add the appropriate Seniority and Workplace selections; do not treat every tool available in the picker as a mandatory skill.

2. Describe the actual role and working conditions

For example, “DevOps engineer — Azure and Terraform, hybrid in Malta” is more useful than “Cloud expert wanted”. Explain the environment, deployment responsibilities and team boundaries. State whether the role involves an on-call rota, incident response, weekend work or production access. Describe training and handover arrangements rather than implying one new hire must be permanently available.

3. Make the salary and application route clear

Explain the base salary and how any on-call or other variable compensation is handled. Match the salary period to the amount shown. A contractor opportunity should not be described as permanent employment in one field and invoiced self-employment in another. Use an external recruitment link only when it represents the same role and working arrangement.

In the job form, enter Salary from and, if useful, the optional maximum amount. Check Salary period: it defaults to Per year, so change it if you mean an hourly, daily, weekly or monthly amount. Choose the salary currency and Gross / net consistently with the offer. Required languages and Contract arrangement describe the vacancy; they do not run an automated candidate-scoring process. Complete required fields and use Detailed information for optional traits.

4. Review and publish the vacancy

  • Select only the cloud platforms and tools relevant to the vacancy.

  • Explain on-call, incident and out-of-hours responsibilities.

  • Keep contractor and employment descriptions consistent.

  • Clarify location and access requirements before interviews.

Can I advertise a remote DevOps role?

Yes. Use the Workplace option that matches the permitted location and explain any office attendance or time-zone requirements. Remote within Malta, Remote within EU and Remote worldwide communicate different arrangements; select the one the employer can actually support.
